Today, on March 27, the Delhi High Court is set to examine a plea by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal against his detention by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). Arrested in connection with an alleged money-laundering scandal tied to an excise policy scam, Kejriwal is contesting the legality of his arrest and subsequent ED custody. His plea will be heard by Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma at 10:30 AM.
Despite being in custody, Kejriwal has continued to issue directives aimed at addressing the shortages of medicines and diagnostic tests in the city’s mohalla clinics and hospitals. His latest order, given to Health Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj, underscores the importance of ensuring that underprivileged individuals receive necessary medicines from government facilities. Bharadwaj highlighted the critical dependence of many Delhi families on these services for their healthcare needs, emphasizing the directive’s significance.
