Donyi Polo Government College, Kamki has established a Hydration Point to honor its dedication to student welfare and institutional achievement by giving its students access to safe drinking water. This program is an important part of the college’s Institutional Distinctiveness, which tries to establish a special and encouraging learning environment.
Principal Dr. Gindu Borang came up with the creative idea for the Hydration Point because he wanted a campus where students could get clean drinking water, which would promote their health and well-being. Principal Borang’s innovative approach to promoting student well-being was further evident in his decision to invite Shri Mili Kamki, a cook at the college, to inaugurate the Hydration Point. This gesture recognized Shri Kamki’s honesty and dedication to his work.
Infrastructure Upgrade
The Hydration Point features three sets of water purifiers, generously donated by Shri Rujjum Rakshap, Deputy Commissioner, Lower Siang District, Shri. Tumme Amo, IPS/Sr.SP, SP Office, Tezu, Lohit District, and Shri Gokar Basar, former MLA 29 Basar Legislative Assembly. The donations were facilitated by Ms. Karpi Lollen, the General Secretary of the Donyi Polo Government College Students’ Union (DPGCSU), who played a crucial role in managing and coordinating the donations.
Guidance and Support
The setup of the Hydration Point was facilitated by Mr. Nyaglen Gadi, Coordinator, Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), who provided valuable guidance and support throughout the process.
