First Glimpses of India-bound Skoda Enyaq Facelift Revealed

  • Expected Arrival: H1 of CY 2025
  • Design: Adopts Skoda’s Modern Solid Design language
  • Powertrain: No changes expected with up to 600 km range

As Skoda rolls out its EV roadmap for the near future, the spotlight now shifts to the Enyaq facelift. Following the global debut of the Elroq SUV, Skoda has provided the first design sketches of the facelifted Enyaq, marking the model’s foray into India in the first half of 2025. The Enyaq will incorporate elements of Skoda’s Modern Solid Design language while maintaining its current silhouette.

Fresh and Bold Design Elements

The design sketches hint at significant visual updates to differentiate the facelifted Enyaq from its outgoing version. While retaining its familiar proportions, the refreshed EV gets a striking new front fascia, a redesigned rear profile, and new alloy wheel designs. Skoda’s typically understated styling appears to be replaced by a bolder, more attention-grabbing exterior to help the Enyaq stand out.

Visually, the new Enyaq also seems to have a slightly larger presence on the road, though it continues to embody Skoda’s focus on clean and minimal aesthetics.

Interior and Features

Inside, the updates to the feature list are likely to be minimal, focusing on incremental enhancements in practicality and convenience. True to Skoda’s philosophy, the facelifted Enyaq will offer its signature “Simply Clever” features, designed for ease of use.

No Powertrain Overhaul

Mechanically, the Skoda Enyaq facelift is expected to remain unchanged. The EV will be offered with both:

  • FWD (Front-Wheel Drive)
  • AWD (All-Wheel Drive) variants.

The driving range is anticipated to be up to 600 km on a single charge, depending on the selected variant. This range positions the Enyaq as a strong contender in the premium electric SUV segment.

India Launch and Local Assembly

The Skoda Enyaq will initially arrive in India as a CBU (Completely Built Unit). However, if there is sufficient demand, Skoda could explore the option of local assembly at its Aurangabad facility. This move could make the Enyaq more competitively priced, aligning it with the increasing popularity of EVs in India.

Conclusion

The facelifted Skoda Enyaq, with its fresh design and proven powertrain, promises to make a compelling entry into India’s electric SUV market. Its combination of style, driving range, and innovative features could help it appeal to premium EV buyers, paving the way for Skoda’s expanding electrification plans in the country.
