The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has revised the schedule for the State Service Preliminary Examination 2024 and State Forest Service Examination 2024 in anticipation of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024. Initially set for April 28, the exams have been postponed to June 23, 2024, ensuring a seamless process amidst the electoral activities. Admit cards will be available for download starting June 12, 2024.
With the Lok Sabha elections poised for a phased execution between April 19 and May 13 across 29 seats in Madhya Pradesh, the counting is earmarked for June 4. This significant political event has prompted various educational and professional bodies to reconsider their exam schedules to accommodate the electoral process and ensure student participation.
In alignment with the MPPSC’s move, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) also announced a rescheduling of the Civil Services Examinations (CSE) 2024. Originally slated for May 26, 2024, the UPSC prelims will now take place on June 16, 2024. This adjustment is a direct response to the Election Commission’s timetable for the upcoming 18th Lok Sabha elections.
Further adjustments include the Study Webs of Active Learning for Young Aspiring Minds (SWAYAM) January 2024 semester examination, now set for May 27 instead of May 25. Additionally, the National Eligibility Entrance Test (Postgraduate) NEET PG 2024 will occur on June 23, 2024, moved from its previous date of July 7.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is another body that has had to reschedule its exams. The CA Foundation, Intermediate, and Final exams for 2024 have been moved to accommodate the election schedule, demonstrating the widespread impact of the Lok Sabha elections on educational and professional certification timelines across the country.
