As the Kansas City Chiefs gear up for their 2024 regular season opener against the Baltimore Ravens, the excitement isn’t just limited to football fans—Swifties are joining the frenzy too. Among them is Chiefs’ quarterback and reigning Super Bowl MVP, Patrick Mahomes, who recently shared his thoughts on having global superstar Taylor Swift as part of Chiefs Kingdom.
In a lighthearted interview, Mahomes expressed how special it is to have Swift’s support for the team. “That’s been special to me, because, like you said, she’s the most famous person in the world,” Mahomes said. “She’s really interested in football, and she asks a lot of great questions.”
But Mahomes didn’t stop there. He jokingly hinted at Swift’s potential influence on the Chiefs’ playbook, saying, “She’s already drawing up plays, so we might have to put one in.”
With the Chiefs set to take on the Ravens on September 5, fans are eagerly waiting to see if any of Swift’s “plays” make it onto the field. Whether it’s just playful banter or a hint of something more, Mahomes’ comments have certainly added a fun twist to the lead-up to the big game.
