Guwahati, 13 September 2024 – Radio Gupshup, a popular radio station in Assam, celebrated the culmination of its exciting Local Rockstar talent hunt with a grand finale at Assam Down Town University on 12th September. The event was a spectacular showcase of young talent from across the region.
The Competition:
The talent hunt, which saw participation from over 50 individuals, included students from top colleges, universities, and educational institutions across Guwahati. Over the course of the competition, Radio Gupshup visited 11 educational institutions to scout for the brightest stars. The event provided a unique platform for emerging talents to demonstrate their skills in music, performance, and entertainment.
Winners:
After a highly competitive selection process, Charlene Mahalia from Girijananda Chowdhury University emerged victorious, winning the prestigious Local Rockstar title. She impressed the judges with her talent, earning widespread recognition. The runner-up positions were secured by Krituraj Das from Guwahati Commerce College (1st runner-up) and Swandeepan Saikia from NERIM (2nd runner-up).
Grand Finale Event:
The finale was judged by Sidhartha Kashyap, a renowned actor, along with Shahrukh, senior sound engineer, and Bhargab Bhagawati, junior sound engineer at Radio Gupshup. The event was elevated by performances from the Kungfu 3 team, adding a thrilling entertainment factor to the night. Seven Sense Communication, a leading PR agency in Guwahati, also partnered with the event to boost its reach and visibility.
