New Delhi, [Date]: In a scathing attack on the ruling BJP, Congress leader and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi declared that the 2024 Lok Sabha elections were rigged, alleging that the electoral system in India is “already dead.” Speaking at the Congress Annual Legal Conclave 2025, Gandhi promised to present concrete evidence in the coming days to support his explosive claims.
“We are going to prove to you in the next few days how a Lok Sabha election can be rigged—and was rigged,” Gandhi asserted. He pointed out that the BJP secured a narrow majority, suggesting that manipulating just 15 seats could have altered the outcome. “If 15 seats were rigged, he (PM Modi) would not have been the Prime Minister of India,” he said.
Gandhi didn’t stop there. He revisited the contentious farm law protests, recalling an alleged encounter with late BJP leader Arun Jaitley. According to Gandhi, Jaitley was sent to “threaten” him into backing down. “He told me, ‘If you keep opposing the government, we will have to act against you.’ I replied, ‘I don’t think you know who you’re talking to,’” Gandhi recounted.
The Congress leader’s remarks have ignited a fresh political firestorm, with opposition parties rallying behind his claims while the BJP dismisses them as “baseless.” As Gandhi prepares to unveil his purported evidence, the debate over electoral integrity is set to intensify.
Will his revelations shake the political landscape? The nation waits.
