The countries include Seychelles, Mauritius, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Nepal.

Maldives:

Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu has been invited to attend the ceremony. While his office has not publicly confirmed his attendance, this invitation marks a significant step in strengthening the relationship between the two nations. Sri Lanka:

Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe has accepted the invitation during a phone call with PM Modi. They discussed the significant progress made in implementing the Vision Document issued during President Wickremesinghe’s visit to New Delhi in July 2023. The Sri Lankan President is expected to travel to Delhi on June 9th.

Bangladesh:

Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina accepted the invitation during a telephone conversation. She was one of the first world leaders to send a written congratulatory message to PM Modi on his electoral win. PM Hasina is expected to reach Delhi on Saturday and depart on Monday.

Bhutan:

Bhutan’s King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and Prime Minister Dasho Tshering Tobgay have been invited. PM Modi’s last foreign visit in his second term was to Bhutan, emphasizing the close ties between the two countries. They are currently working on enhancing rail connectivity.

Nepal:

Nepal’s Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has confirmed his attendance. He congratulated PM Modi on his electoral success, highlighting the deep-rooted cultural and civilizational links between Nepal and India.

Mauritius:

Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth of Mauritius congratulated PM Modi and reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the special relationship between the two nations. He was the first global leader to congratulate Modi on his victory.
