In a disheartening development for students and educators alike, the English question paper for the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Exam 2024 was leaked in Dhubri district, Assam. This incident, emerging from Jaruar Char Public High School, has cast a shadow over the commencement of the state’s matriculation examinations, marking a continuation of exam-related controversies plaguing the region.
The leak reportedly originated from the Banskandi Nena Mia H.S School examination center in Cachar, with suspicions pointing towards the involvement of Hyder Hussain Majumdar, a teacher at the center. This breach not only undermines the integrity of the examination process but also raises serious concerns regarding the effectiveness of the existing supervision and oversight mechanisms in place.
Authorities had initiated the HSLC Exam 2024 with a promise of stringent security measures to avert such controversies and ensure a seamless examination experience for students. However, the occurrence of this leak on the very first day has exposed the persistent vulnerabilities within the system, underscoring an urgent need for comprehensive reforms and enhanced vigilance to safeguard the sanctity of educational assessments in the state.
