According to eyewitness accounts and videos circulating online, thick smoke was seen rising near the area surrounding the Burj Khalifa shortly after air defence systems engaged an incoming aerial threat. Authorities in the United Arab Emirates confirmed that defence forces successfully intercepted airborne objects and stated that no immediate casualties were reported.

The towering structure was evacuated as a precautionary measure after residents reported hearing multiple loud blasts. Officials are still working to determine whether the explosion resulted from falling drone debris or fragments from an intercepted missile.
