The smartphone market in India is bracing for a monumental shift as Vivo prepares to launch its highly anticipated X300 series. While the Vivo X300 Ultra aims to redefine the boundaries of mobile photography, the Vivo X300 FE (Fan Edition) is positioned to capture the value-conscious flagship segment. As leaks and official teasers circulate, tech enthusiasts are eager to see how these two siblings stack up in terms of hardware, software, and localized pricing.
Display and Design: A Battle of Premium Aesthetics
The Vivo X300 Ultra is rumored to feature a cutting-edge 2K E7 AMOLED curved display with a peak brightness that could surpass 3000 nits, making it one of the brightest screens on the market. In contrast, the X300 FE is expected to stick with a more traditional but highly efficient FHD+ LTPO panel. While both will likely support a 120Hz refresh rate, the Ultra model will offer superior color accuracy and HDR10+ support, catering to professional creators. Design-wise, the Ultra will likely sport a glass-and-metal sandwich construction with an massive circular camera module, whereas the FE might opt for a slimmer, more lightweight profile to appeal to a broader audience.
Performance and Camera: Pro-Grade Power vs Value Flagship
Under the hood, the divide becomes clearer. The X300 Ultra is slated to house the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 or Dimensity 9400 chipset, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM. The X300 FE, on the other hand, might utilize a slightly older but still potent flagship chip like the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 to keep costs in check. The real differentiator remains the camera system. The Ultra is expected to boast a 1-inch main sensor and advanced periscope zoom capabilities developed in collaboration with Zeiss. Meanwhile, the FE will likely feature a capable triple-camera setup but without the extreme zoom range or the T* coating found on the premium Ultra variant.
In terms of pricing in India, the X300 Ultra is expected to cross the ₹90,000 mark, while the X300 FE could be a game-changer if priced around ₹55,000 to ₹60,000. Ultimately, the choice depends on whether you value bleeding-edge innovation or a balanced performance-to-price ratio. Both devices are set to dominate their respective segments upon release.
