Veteran Bollywood screenwriter Salim Khan has been admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai after reportedly suffering a minor brain haemorrhage earlier this week. The 90 year old writer is currently under close observation in the Intensive Care Unit where doctors are monitoring his recovery.

According to medical experts treating him, Salim Khan’s condition is stable and he is responding positively to treatment. Reports indicate that the health scare may have been triggered by a sudden spike in blood pressure which resulted in internal bleeding on the right side of his brain.

Amid growing media attention and public concern, the Khan family has reportedly requested hospital staff to refrain from sharing further medical updates with the media. The move is believed to be aimed at maintaining privacy during this critical phase of treatment. Doctors overseeing his recovery have also indicated that no immediate surgical intervention was required as the haemorrhage was minimal in nature.

Family members including Salman Khan have made multiple visits to the hospital since his admission on February 17. Close relatives and friends from the film fraternity have also been seen arriving to check on the veteran writer’s health.

Hospital authorities have confirmed that Salim Khan remains under sedation and medical supervision as doctors begin the process of gradually weaning him off ventilator support. While he is said to be out of immediate danger, discussions regarding discharge are premature at this stage. The family has chosen to prioritise recovery over public communication during this period.

The development has sparked widespread concern among fans across the country, with many taking to social media to wish the celebrated writer a speedy recovery.
