A deeply disturbing incident in Faridabad has sparked fresh concerns over women’s safety after a young woman was allegedly attacked late Monday night. The 25-year-old, who was waiting for transport, reportedly accepted a lift from two men in a van on the Gurgaon-Faridabad Road. Instead of dropping her at her destination, the situation took a violent turn.

According to police reports, the woman was forced into the vehicle and taken on a harrowing journey that lasted several hours. During this time she was allegedly gang-raped inside the moving van. Around 3 am, the men are said to have thrown her out of the vehicle near Raja Chowk, leaving her gravely injured on the roadside.

Family members found the woman badly hurt and rushed her to a hospital where she underwent treatment for serious head and facial injuries. Medical staff reportedly administered more than ten stitches as part of her care. Her condition, while stable, has left her in shock and unable to give a full statement to investigators.

Police acted swiftly following the complaint lodged by the woman’s sister. Officers tracked down and arrested two men allegedly involved in the crime. Investigators have also recovered the van believed to have been used in the attack and are questioning the suspects to piece together the full sequence of events.

The accused men are reported to be residents of other states currently living in Faridabad. Authorities have initiated legal proceedings and are conducting further inquiries while urging the public not to jump to conclusions until the investigation is complete.

Local reaction has been one of shock and outrage, with many community members calling for stronger measures to protect women, especially at night and in transit areas. The incident has reignited debates over the need for safer public transport options and stricter law enforcement to deter similar crimes.

As the case unfolds, police have pledged to pursue justice and ensure a thorough investigation, while advocacy groups are expected to voice renewed demands for systemic reforms to prevent such violent crimes in the future.
