The individual, identified as Ammar Alvi, a former JeM divisional commander, claimed in a detailed statement that the immediate family of Masood Azhar—the founder of JeM and a UN-designated global terrorist—was not only sheltered but actively honoured by the Pakistani Army. Azhar was the mastermind behind numerous devastating attacks, including the 2001 Indian Parliament siege and the 2019 Pulwama attack that brought India and Pakistan to the brink of war.
“The Pakistani Army gave a lot of respect to Masood Azhar’s family,” Alvi states in the video. His testimony describes a ceremony where Azhar’s brother, Ibrahim Alvi, and his son, Hamza Azhar, were presented with shields of honour by military officials. This act, if verified, would represent a stark contradiction to Pakistan’s long-standing public commitments to dismantle terrorist networks operating within its borders.
