  • A former senior Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) commander has given a public video testimony making explosive claims.
  • He alleges the family of UN-designated terrorist Masood Azhar was officially honoured by the Pakistani Army.
  • The testimony directly challenges Pakistan’s official stance on cracking down on terrorist entities.

AlwaysFirst Exclusive – A shocking video testimony from a former high-ranking commander of the banned militant group Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) has sent ripples through the security and diplomatic communities, alleging deep, formalized ties between the Pakistani military establishment and the family of one of India’s most-wanted terrorists.

The individual, identified as Ammar Alvi, a former JeM divisional commander, claimed in a detailed statement that the immediate family of Masood Azhar—the founder of JeM and a UN-designated global terrorist—was not only sheltered but actively honoured by the Pakistani Army. Azhar was the mastermind behind numerous devastating attacks, including the 2001 Indian Parliament siege and the 2019 Pulwama attack that brought India and Pakistan to the brink of war.

“The Pakistani Army gave a lot of respect to Masood Azhar’s family,” Alvi states in the video. His testimony describes a ceremony where Azhar’s brother, Ibrahim Alvi, and his son, Hamza Azhar, were presented with shields of honour by military officials. This act, if verified, would represent a stark contradiction to Pakistan’s long-standing public commitments to dismantle terrorist networks operating within its borders.

The allegations come at a sensitive time in regional geopolitics. For decades, India has accused Pakistan of providing safe haven and support to anti-India militant groups, a claim Islamabad has consistently denied. This firsthand account from an insider, however, provides a rare and damning narrative that appears to lend credibility to those accusations.

Security analysts suggest that such testimony could have significant implications. “This isn’t just an allegation from a foreign government; it’s coming from within their own former ranks,” said a counter-terrorism expert who spoke to AlwaysFirst on condition of anonymity. “It powerfully undermines Pakistan’s position on the global stage regarding its fight against terrorism.”

As of now, there has been no immediate official reaction from the Pakistani military or government regarding these specific claims. The video has, however, sparked intense discussion and calls for a thorough international investigation into the alleged links between state institutions and proscribed terrorist entities in Pakistan.
