India secured their third T20 World Cup title after defeating New Zealand in the final, further cementing their dominance in the format.
Four Indian players have been included in the prestigious XI, reflecting the team’s strong showing throughout the tournament. Alongside Samson, the selected Indian stars include Ishan Kishan, Hardik Pandya, and Jasprit Bumrah. Their consistent performances with both bat and ball proved crucial in India’s successful title defense.
Samson, who was also named Player of the Tournament, delivered several match winning performances during the competition. The wicketkeeper batter showcased remarkable form, including a record breaking innings in the final that helped India post a massive total and secure a convincing victory.
While India dominated the lineup, Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan earned a spot in the Team of the Tournament after an outstanding batting campaign. Farhan finished as the tournament’s leading run scorer with 383 runs and even registered two centuries during the competition.
His inclusion came ahead of explosive New Zealand opener Finn Allen, who had delivered one of the most memorable performances of the tournament with a blazing century during the semifinals.
